CommentsCambridge - a Celtic-free zone? Unfortunately had to spend last Thursday (home tie against Valencia) in Cambridge. Looked up your excellent site for a location to see the game, tried to email some guy who's addy on the site bounced (dbeattie2@ntlworld.com - Tony Mowbray CSC)so I went to their advertised bar and they had the Ipswich game on. Went to the Fountain Inn - Ipswich game on there as well, went to the Locomotive - no football , it was karaoke instead. Ended up sitting in the car listening for snippets on five-live. A wee bit of advice - don't advertise yourselves as Celtic Bars if you make no attempt whatsoever to screen the games. I know it wasn't a straightforward broadcast but it was possible to receive it in England, only required a wee bit of effort to screen the biggest game in 25 years. Mark
Commentshail hail.... good site,i know a couple of bars to add but i will need to get the addresses for you.keep up the good work. chris j glasgow
CommentsGOD BLESS YOU ALL YOUR WEB-SITE IS GREAT KEEP UP GOOD WORK.CELTIC FOR EVER.JOHN HAYES GREATYARMOUTH.
CommentsHello, Nice site!!! Take a look at our PSV Eindhoven site http://www.psvput.homestead.com and please sign the guestbook. Greetings from the province of Brabant (the Netherlands) and we hope to see your reaction in our guestbook, PUT http://www.psvput.homestead.com PUTJE’S PSV SITE
CommentsIn response to Mark - Cambridge a Celtic free zone? Can understand your frustration about not seeing the game. No doubt you'll be even more frustrated when I tell you that Karaoke may have been on in the Locomotive but the game was on in the back room of the Loco on the big screen and was packed with Tims. Hardly a Celtic free zone! I'm sure had you asked at the bar they'd have told you it was on - mind you the karaoke was probably enough to scare anybody off. In future for yourself Mark and for anybody else wishing to contact the Tony Mowbray, Cambridge CSC about live games contact d.beattie@ntlworld.com The dot in the email addrees is missing - will email Davy to fix this on the site. As for not advertising a pub if u don't make efforts to screen games - firstly no member of the Cambridge CSC put the Fountain bar on the website - I've told Davy about this 'rogue tim' bar before but alledgedly there are tims that drink there - not to our knowledge. The Rathmore club is our meeting point for the club - no mention is made about live games being screened there - hence the reason we put an email contact on the site. Unfortunately there is a mistake in the email address given which cannot be helped. Perhaps a phone call to any of these bars may have solved your problem Mark. If the game was so easy to pick up with a 'bit of effort' could you maybe email our secretary at the above address and tell us how to get games like this when their only shown in Scotland - we'd love to know cos we wouldn't want to miss out on any future games. Any help or advice would be great - if you are from outwith Scotland you will know ( and if u are from Scotland you'll now know)what its like to try and find somewhere to watch games like this. Its all part and parcel of the many problems you have trying to follow Celtic south of the border or outwith Scotland. Hail! Hail! Damien, Tony Mowbray CSC, Cambridge
CommentsCambridge Celts - thanks for the reply Damien. Now I am pissed off - it looks like I mised the game because someone dropped a dot from your email addy :-( and then I never took the time to investigate the Locomotive further - looked in and only saw the Karaoke, that's all that was advertised outside so I hurried on. I didn't waste any time as I was running about all over Cambridge desperately trying to see the game. It was an Irish guy in the Fountain that had said to try the Loco. There is a way to receive games which are only broadcast in Scotland. If you have a Sky card you contact them and tell them you have moved to Scotland (maybe using a friend/relatives address) they will then update your registration and you will receive BBC Scotland/ STV regional programmes instead of your current regional stuff. I know bhoys in Belgium and Holland who have done this with Sky and it works a treat. What feed did you have for the Valencia game? Setanta? Once again thanks for the reply. Hail! Hail! Mark
CommentsDavy, hows it going out in the gulf.Weve just arrived back in Crombie on 3rd Dec.Here until 4th Jan then Pompey for a month.Back out your way mid March so with a bit of luck will catch you for a few beers and a blether about how well the POPES XI are doing.Watching my daughters at the moment so having a browse thru your web page. You've got plenty of bars on you're page now.Big Stu Davidson gave me a few of you're cards so i've put them on various notice boards.Talking of Big Stu,took £100 of the big "HUN" due to the TIC beating the SCUM in both games.Just a pity he's now paid of so will have to start drawing out subs again.Anyway i'll go for now,I'll drop you a line when i get back on board. All the best Gordon McFarlane

Seen games in Celtic bars in Montpelier, Seattle and Huddersfield which I would have missed otherwise - made some good friends along the way. many thanks DF
